UPDATE – 8.19 pm IST (2.49 pm GMT) – Uh oh, not again! The umpires have had enough of the persistent drizzle and they have asked the ground staff to bring the covers on. The rain gods have not been kind on what has been a frustrating day so far. As we say, the rain has gotten heavier, meaning the entire ground will have to be covered now. To add to everyone’s misery, there is not much wind blowing across to blow the rain away. All we can do right now is hope that the rain subsides for us to resume soon. Stay tuned for further updates.
