‘Wake up at 6am…’: This will be Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s routine in Tihar jail
NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal last week joined the ranks of incarcerated AAP members, becoming the fourth from the party and the fifth opposition leader overall to be confined in the national capital’s Tihar jail currently.

Jail No 2
Kejriwal will be situated in Tihar’s jail No 2, alongside his former deputy, Manish Sisodia, who is in jail No 1.Former Health Minister Satyendar Jain occupies Jail No 7, while Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh resides in jail No 5.
BRS leader K Kavitha is in jail No 6 of the women’s section.
Waking up at 6:30 am
At 6:30 am, Mr. Kejriwal and fellow inmates will start their day. They will receive a modest breakfast consisting of tea and a few slices of bread.
Lunch: Dal, Sabzi and Rice
Lunchtime falls between 10:30 and 11 am, offering a meal comprising dal, sabzi and a choice of five rotis or rice.
Evening snacks
Between noon and 3 pm, prisoners are confined to their cells. At 3:30 pm, they receive a cup of tea accompanied by two biscuits.
Dinner is served early at 5:30 pm, followed by the prisoners being confined to their cells for the night by 7 pm.
Allowed to watch TV
Except during scheduled prison activities like meals and lock-up, Mr. Kejriwal has the liberty to watch television. He can access between 18 and 20 channels, encompassing news, entertainment, and sports.
Medical help 24/7
Medical assistance is accessible around the clock for emergencies. Mr. Kejriwal, who has diabetes, will undergo regular check-ups throughout his jail time.
