‘Can gauge country’s mood …’: PM Modi’s LS prediction for BJP
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said his government’s third term is not far away and claimed that the BJP will win 370 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections while the saffron party led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will cross the 400 mark.
“I can gauge country’s mood, it will give over 400 seats to NDA and at least 370 seats to BJP in Lok Sabha polls,” PM Modi said in Lok Sabha. “Our third term will witness very big decisions, will lay strong foundation for next 1,000 years,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
The Prime Minister asserted that the country will be the third-largest economy in the third term of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government.
“On the basis of the experience of 10 years of governance, looking at today’s strong economy and the rapid speed with which India is progressing today, I can confidently say that in our third term, India will be the third largest economic power. This is Modi’s guarantee,” the PM said.
PM Modi jokingly said that “even Kharge ji is saying the same thing,” referring to the Congress president’s recent statement in Rajya Sabha.
BJP has set a target of 400+ seats in the Lok Sabha elections this year, coining the slogan “abki baar, 400 paar”, a rehash of its own pre-2014 slogan “abki baar, Modi sarkar”.
Earlier too, PM Modi had said that India will be among the top 3 economies in the world during his third term in power.
