The violent brawl unfolded in a crowded market area in North East Delhi, where four men chased Sameer Ahmad, a bag manufacturer, and attacked him in public

A 25-year-old man was attacked by four men with a knife and shot at in a crowded street in Shastri Park area of New Delhi on Friday. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.

The violent brawl unfolded in a crowded market area in North East Delhi, where four men chased Sameer Ahmad, a bag manufacturer, and attacked him in public. The attackers also shot him in both the legs.

The victim Sameer suffered injuries to both legs and was initially admitted to JPC Hospital and was then referred to the GTB Hospital and then to RML Hospital.

The CCTV footage from the area showed the crammed street suddenly descending into chaos, with people running away. Within seconds, the four accused ran behind the victim and stabbing him with a knife, a report in NDTV said.

One of the accused rode away on his scooty while others followed him on foot. The accused lay there injured and motionless on the ground.

Police have identified four suspects in the case- Bilal, Saud, Firoj and Salim. The accused have been charged with attempt to murder.

The police said that the victim and the four accused were drinking together when Sameer allegedly bit Bilal. This led Bilal and his three friends to attack and shoot at Sameer. Police are actively reconstruction the sequence of events to ensure the accused face fair legal consequences.
